Sky Ferreira has released the album artwork for her upcoming debut Night Time, My Time – and it’s pretty revealing!
Shot by French filmmaker Gasper Noe, it shows the singer in front of a moss-green tiled shower as water runs over her tormented face. Her Instagram upload of the album cover has black bars covering her breasts, but the unedited version is completely exposed.
Look out for Night Time, My Time – which features first single “You’re Not The One” – on October 29 via Capitol Records.

Directed by Grant Singer (the man behind the “Everything Is Embarrassing” clip) Sky channels Madonna’s “True Blue” era, rocking leather and a short peroxide blonde ‘do, as she. It’s all set to the ’80’s-inspired slinky pop tune.

Sky Ferreira has constantly been denying her apparent drug usage in countless interview, but now the singer has been exposed. Ferreira and her boyfriend, DIIV’s Zachary Cole Smith, were arrested in Saugerties, New York on September 13 for drug possession.
According to the Daily Freeman, Ferreira was arrested “on misdemeanor charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest,” while Smith (who thinks he’s the second coming of Kurt Cobain, surprise surprise) was “charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of aggravated unlicensed driving, all misdemeanors. He was also charged with the violations of unregistered motor vehicle, driving without insurance, unlicensed driver, and having an inadequate exhaust system.”
The newspaper also reports that Smith was found with a plastic bag that had 42 decks of heroin while girlfriend Ferreira was caught with ecstasy and also resisted arrest.” Ferreira’s debut album Night Time, My Time is set for an October release, but no word if this new misdemeanor will have an effect on the record.
Everything is embarrassing.

My love for good music ranges from the most popular artists to the ones who are vying for their time in the spotlight to showcase their talents.
This artist spotlight focuses on Michael Weferling, a Northeastern University senior who is looking to make his mark on the Pop world. His latest single, “Soldier For Our Love”, is a heavy dose of Pop with hints of Sky Ferreira-esque electronic synths that makes it suitable for international clubs. The song talks about love – a welcomed subject in the Pop realm today. But it isn’t at all cutesy – Weferling wants listeners to fight and overcome love, not just to accept it.
Yet the flaws with the single comes courtesy of the production. Weferling’s voice, while confident, does not mesh well with the slightly timid background of rhythmic beats. The synths are delicate, so the vocals tend to overwhelm it. With more blending and clarity, the single can definitely find itself on radio or spun at a club in Brooklyn and the Lower East Side.
Weferling (originally from Camden, Maine) has always wanted to be a performer and looked to artists like Mariah Carey, Seal and Madonna as inspirations. At Northeastern University, he is a music industry major who spends his spare time recording with his band.
When he’s not recording his own material, Weferling likes to record covers of classic hits. Check out his cover of No Doubt’s “Underneath It All” below:
