Lady Gaga turns up the sex factor in her new song, “Do What U Want” – off her upcoming album ARTPOP. Featuring the King of R&B R. Kelly, the duo show off their gritty vocals that gives some edge to the slinky, pulsating tune. On paper, the two singers wouldn’t seem to work. But they surprisingly complement each other on the sultry new track.
Listen to “Do What U Want” below:
Look out for ARTPOP on November 11, with the album’s second official single “Venus” set to be released on October 27.

Last night, Lady Gaga took to Twitter to reveal the official tracklisting for her forthcoming album ARTPOP (out on November 11). In typical Mother Monster form, the songs were painted on a mural in Los Angeles by her loyal Little Monsters. Songs include the mega single “Applause,” “Aura” and future fan favorite “Swine.” ARTPOP also has features from T.I., Too $hort, Twista & R. Kelly.

Lady Gaga bares it all on her new album cover for ARTPOP! It shows a Jeff Koons-created scuplture of the singer as she cups her breasts and opens her legs to reveal one of the artist’s famous blue balls. The background is a tug-o-war between old vs. new art (the classic Birth of Venus v. the more modern black + white images) that is splashed with a Sex Pistols’ inspired font.
Overall, it creates an interesting commentary on what’s happening in art today as it continues to trickle into the music industry. Look out for the singer’s forthcoming third studio album ARTPOP, which features lead single “Applause”, on November 11.

After the rushed delivery due to its leak, the video for Lady Gaga’s new single “Applause” is here. Directed by fashion photographers Inez & Vinoodh, the video reads as a mini arthouse film. In it, the popstress performs as a jester, channels Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” and writhes on a mattress. Oh, at one point she shapeshifts into a swan.

After calling a “POP MUSIC EMERGENCY” on Twitter, Lady Gaga has released her new single “Applause” way ahead of its original August 19 date.
The ’80s-hair rock influenced banger sounds like a jagged video game sonic thriller, complete with Gaga’s strong, crystal-clear vocals. It definitely has the makings of becoming a stadium-worthy smash hit.

Lady Gaga’s upcoming single “Applause” is planned for an August 19 release, and the singer has just revealed the artwork for the highly anticipated tune. Taking inspiration from David Bowie (as she did with the thunder sign under eye during The Fame era) Gaga’s face is painted like a white canvas with watercolor-like strokes applied around it.
The image, shot by frequent collaborators Inez & Vinoodh, is truly beautiful and provoking which hopefully gives a little insight to what “Applause” will sound like. She shared with WWD the inspiration behind the song: “I’ll tell you that it is very fun. And that it’s full of happiness, because what I’m saying in the song essentially is that I live for the applause. I live for the way you cheer and scream for me. Give me that thing that I love. Put your hands up, make them touch.”
Lady Gaga will perform the single at this year’s MTV VMAs on August 25, and her third studio album ARTPOP will be released on November 11.
