Eliza Shaddad

London is a huge mecca of budding talent, and Eliza Shaddad is the latest artist to emerge from across the pond. The budding singer-songwriter has released her new single “Waters,” from her upcoming eponymously-titled debut EP.

The single is quite the stunner that showcases the singer’s confidence, with Shaddad’s brooding vocals anchored by percussive guitar licks and bold drums. With lyrics like “Death, he does not bother me, I’ve been thinking it’s a peaceful way to go/Moving out from the shore, I can’t hear you anymore/There is something calling me from down below,” “Waters” has an incredibly daring and slightly melancholic vibe.

The singer also plays with electronic group Clean Bandit, who has supported acts like Rudimental, SBTRKT and Alt-J. Look out for Eliza Shaddad at two of the UK’s largest summer music festivals, The Great Escape and The Alternative Escape on May 8 and 10, following radio plays across BBC Radio 1XFM and Amazing Radio.

Waters is now available for pre-order, and the EP will officially be released on June 16 via Beatnik.
