I know, I know – the first Pre-Fall ’12 runway was almost a month ago. But I’ve finally got my act together and have looked at all of the collections shown so far! So get ready for a fashion-filled jam-packed two-part post…
This Pre-Fall season is a mixture of classic styles, bold colors, obscure shapes, unenthusiastic lines and patterns – all from a myriad of designers.
Check out ALL of the newer collections below and stay tuned for part two coming up shortly!
Ricardo Tisci took his inspiration to the streets – literally. Shot outside in NYC, the equestrian-based collection (while beautifully tailored) lacked originality with Tisci referencing many past collections. Also, the footwear just overwhelms most of the looks.
Alexander Wang took a step back from his usual sportswear and finally gave us a collection that exudes that NYC classy-cool. The trompe l’oeil touches are elegant yet the fabrics and layering keeps it rugged.

With its current collection, Wang’s diffusion collection has proven that it is more than just a t-shirt line. His recent collection is clean, fresh and full of totally interchangeable separates.
I’ve always loved Preen for its sleek looks and sassy silhouettes. But this collection shows the newly NYC-based brand in a more elegant and quirky light. I usually don’t like when designers change their aesthetic, but Preen makes it work.
This collection has a fun take on the classic Americana look as seen through the eyes of modern Italian design. I think this collection will be a hit among customers who seek to relive or express their youth through their clothes.
Be on the lookout for my top Pre-Fall collections for the season soon!
